About Me

Hello! My name is Geoff Daniels, I’m a film scholar and photographer, and I am currently attending the University of Iowa Cinematic Arts program in pursuit of a master’s degree in film studies. Although I do enjoy creating every now and then, I have always enjoyed writing and talking about films and media more. I truly love movies, and find my passion in teaching, thinking about, and exploring films and their immense impact on our lives.

As long as there are films to appreciate and discuss, I hope to be supporting them through close readings and discussions about their importance. My ultimate goal is to be someone within the film industry that promotes community among cinephiles and general audiences alike, as I think it is important for a healthy film culture to have a lively space by which people can communicate about films and filmmaking.
